#HardwickeBrew – Clinical Negligence & Personal Injury – There’s so much confusion! I can’t get no relief

09 Dec 2020, 2:00 pm

The Hardwicke Clinical Negligence & Personal Injury Team invite you to join them in an informal Zoom chat to discuss relief from sanctions.

This session will be hosted by Jasmine Murphy, Helena Drage and Emma Woods.

The pandemic seems to have resulted in an increase in relief from sanctions applications. We will be looking at some reminders of what to do/what not to do to get relief. A regular area of confusion seems to be whether late witness statements require a CPR 3.9 application. We will be looking at recent decisions to glean the best approach to take, as well as considering relief from sanctions in the context of surveillance and expert evidence.

Bring your own coffee or other drink and come and exchange views with us on how things are going in the remote world – of the court, work and generally.

If you would like to raise any questions in advance, please email Emma. You will also have the chance to raise them during the session.

Wandering children or pets welcome!

If you would like to join in, please email events@gatehouselaw.co.uk and, subject to numbers, we will send you a link to the #HardwickeBrew.

We look forward to catching up at a safe social distance!
