#HardwickeBrew – Witness statements in insolvency proceedings: fit for purpose or ripe for reform?

Hardwicke’s Insolvency Team are delighted to announce the details of their next #HardwickeBrew taking place at 11am on Thursday, 8th April 2021.

Although most insolvency litigation will fall outside Practice Direction 57AC (Witness Evidence at Trial), the issues which prompted those reforms can, and often do, arise in insolvency proceedings, occasionally prompting judicial criticism.  Sarah Clarke and Oliver Hyams will consider the advantages and disadvantages with the current approach to witness evidence in insolvency proceedings, and what lessons can be learned from the broader reforms.
