Hardwicke invites you to a one-hour training session presented by Aneurin Moloney and Helena Drage aimed at paralegals, trainees and junior practitioners specialising in personal injury claims.
Through use of a worked example, Aneurin and Helena will show you what heads of loss can be claimed and how to draft a CPR compliant Schedule of Loss.
Aneurin will talk you through how to claim:
- General damages for pain, suffering and loss of amenity
- Past expenses and losses including:
- Care and assistance
- Travel, fares and mileage
- Medical expenses
- Interest
Helena will talk you through the basics on how to claim future losses including:
- Understanding multipliers and the Ogden tables
- Future loss of earnings
- Future medical costs
- Future care and assistance
- Lost years claims
As they talk through their worked example, they will build up the Schedule of Loss, which you will be able to take away with you for future reference.
By the end of the session you will feel confident identifying the various heads of past and future losses and be familiar with how they should be pleaded.
