Anthony Lavers receives the President’s Medal at the Society of Construction Law Annual Dinner & President’s Reception

Gatehouse Chambers is delighted to share the news that Anthony Lavers has been awarded the Society of Construction Law (SCL) President’s Medal, presented by The Right Honourable Lord Justice Coulson on 20 May 2026 at the Great Hall of Lincoln’s Inn.

The Medal, introduced in 2000, has previously been awarded to three members of the Court of Appeal and four High Court judges. The last recipient in 2024 was the current Lady Chief Justice, Baroness Carr.

This highly prestigious honour represents one of the Society’s most significant recognitions and is awarded to individuals who have made an outstanding and enduring contribution to the field of construction law. The Medal is a well‑deserved honour that reflects Anthony’s exceptional contribution over many years—spanning practice, academia and thought leadership—as well as his longstanding commitment to the SCL, including serving as Chair from 2004 to 2006 and as a member of Council for over 30 years.

The award comes at a particularly fitting moment, following Anthony’s arrival at Gatehouse Chambers as an Academic Associate Member on Monday 18 May.
