Phyllida commenced pupillage in October 2026. She is interested in all areas of Chambers’ practice, particularly commercial dispute resolution and cross-border litigation.
Prior to joining Gatehouse, Phyllida spent two years at the Government Legal Department covering a broad range of litigation and advisory work with a particular focus on international trade law. She has worked as a Research Assistant at the Law Commission as part of the bill team during the passage of the Charities Act 2022, and as a Commercial Law Research Assistant here at Gatehouse Chambers.
Phyllida has previous advocacy experience from her time as a County Court Advocate, having appeared in over 100 hearings in the County Court.
Phyllida completed a BSc in Biochemistry & Genetics before undertaking the Graduate Diploma in Law. She was supported on the Bar Course as a Middle Temple scholar and has an LLM in Public Law.
