Dean Underwood has won his latest case in the High Court, successfully defending the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham against a judicial review of its housing allocation scheme. In R (George) v Hammersmith & Fulham LBC, Dean came in for high praise from Mr Stuart Catchpole QC, sitting as a Deputy High Court Judge, for his outstanding written and oral advocacy. The claim, in which Mr George had challenged the local authority's interpretation of its housing allocation scheme and its decision not to award Mr George a discretionary tenancy of one of its properties, was dismissed with costs.  Dean continues to assist the local authority with related possession proceedings.
