The advent of QOCS has resulted in other professionals involved in litigation coming under scrutiny and parties seek to recoup their irrecoverable costs. The most recent focus of that attention has been expert witnesses.
This virtual classroom seminar will consider the circumstances in which an expert witness may be liable for the costs of the litigation. It will consider the relevant test, the evidential requirements, the threshold and the interrelationship with Part 35 and the comparisons with professional negligence claims against solicitors.
