Christian joined Chambers in October 2023 with nearly 25 years’ experience in developing international relations for the legal professions of England and Wales. Before joining Gatehouse Chambers, he was Head of International at the Bar Council of England and Wales where he developed and implemented strategies to promote the international interests of the Bar as a whole.
He has a background as a German jurist and subsequently specialised in public international law (LL.M., University of London). Subsequently he spent several years working in human rights for the United Nations (as a Human Rights Officer in Haiti) and international NGOs. He then worked on European relations for the Law Society, before moving to the Bar Council.
