The second seminar in our J2J Commercial Series 2020 will take place online via Zoom and will be hosted by Frederico Singarajah, Jack Dillon and James Shaw. The seminar will discuss interim and final injunctions – an expression of one of the Court’s most aggressive remedial powers (the ability to force a defendant, on pain of punishment, to do or refrain from doing something harmful to the claimant). Injunctive relief is, therefore, an extremely powerful tool for litigators seeking to establish an early upper hand in litigation.
This seminar will focus on certain key features of injunctive relief and the various considerations which arise in their deployment. In particular, this seminar will discuss: freezing injunctions, search orders, and anti-suit injunctions, upholding or defeating an injunction and the duty of full and frank disclosure; and making the most of your injunction, expanding its scope and dealing with non-compliance.
