Practice overview
Miranda is interested in work across Chambers’ practice areas, with a particular focus on commercial, construction and insolvency matters.
Miranda graduated from Harvard University with a BA in English before completing her Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP Bristol. During the GDL, she was awarded the BPP Career Commitment Scholarship and the GDL Runner-up prize in the Bar Council Law Reform Essay Competition. Miranda completed the Bar Vocational Studies at City Law School with Distinction, for which she was awarded the Goldie Scholarship by Gray’s Inn. Miranda went on to obtain a Distinction in her LLM in International Commercial Law at UCL, achieving the highest mark in the year in her Commercial Remedies paper and a high distinction (82%) in her dissertation on global supply chain liability.
During her studies, Miranda volunteered for the Free Representation Unit, securing a successful outcome for a social security client in the First Tier Tribunal (Social Entitlement) and negotiating the settlement of an unfair dismissal claim. Miranda was also selected to represent Gray’s Inn in the Vis Moot, appearing as an oralist in the Vis East International Arbitration Moot Competition in 2021.
Before commencing pupillage, Miranda worked as a Senior Editor at FromCounsel, a corporate law knowledge publisher used by leading UK law firms, where she assisted with building a new restructuring and insolvency law knowledge service.
Miranda enjoys running half-marathons and marathons, having most recently completed the London Marathon in the spring of 2024.
