Members of Gatehouse Chambers’ construction team have extensive experience in the energy and natural resources and renewables sector. They act for major energy companies and domestic and international engineering contractors in relation to disputes concerning all energy related disputes.

We have experience of major engineering and civil engineering claims that accompany the procurement and delivery of energy and natural resources including wind farms, power stations, pipelines and oil and gas rigs. Some members also have specialist knowledge of the marine aspects of oil and gas rig work.

Our recent work has included advising on damage to a Greek power plant caused by a defective transformer, a mechanical and engineering dispute in relation to an offshore oil platform in Saudi Arabian waters, an arbitration concerning the construction of a nuclear berthing facility, a dispute over the design of shoreline protection facilities at a power plant in the Middle East, and sand ingress claims in respect of a wind turbine power generation project in Saudi Arabia.
