Charles Bagot appointed to the Bar Disciplinary Tribunal
Charles Bagot has been appointed by the Council of the Inns of Court (COIC) to sit on the Bar Disciplinary Tribunal for a five-year term. This is an exciting additional appointment for Charles, who already sits as a Deputy District Judge on the South Eastern Circuit.
The Bar Disciplinary Tribunal deals with the most serious professional misconduct allegations against barristers, that can in the worst case lead to them being disbarred. Charles will be part of the COIC’s Disciplinary Pool, which also includes Judges, QCs and lay representatives, and will sit on Disciplinary Tribunals and other hearings that determine the penalty on the barrister.
