About the 2026 Southern Forum
This year’s Southern Forum will deliver a distinctive, end‑to‑end exploration of a corporate insolvency case, following a single, coherent case study throughout the day. Delegates will journey from the earliest warning signs of financial distress, through critical decision‑making, into a formal insolvency process, and finally into the disputes that can arise from the conduct of that process.
The programme is designed to be highly interactive, drawing on expertise across the profession, including insolvency practitioners, restructuring specialists, legal advisers, valuation experts, and dispute resolution practitioners.
The day will conclude with a live advocacy demonstration, featuring the cross‑examination of an insolvency practitioner in a court‑style session.
By connecting each session rather than treating them in isolation, the Forum provides a holistic, practical perspective on how early advice, strategic decisions, and professional conduct shape outcomes — and potential disputes — later down the line
