You are invited to a round-table discussion on the recent Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) Decision in Willow Court Management (1985) Ltd v Alexander – in particular, when and how to make applications for costs based upon unreasonable conduct.
During the session Simon Allison and Alexander Bastin will be outlining the decision and the practical / tactical points to be taken from it, examining some possible criticisms of it, and inviting discussion throughout based on attendees’ experiences of making Rule 13 applications or examples of unreasonable conduct in First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) proceedings that may or may not now meet the threshold set by the decision.
The session is intended to be a practical and thought-provoking discussion amongst those who act in or bring Tribunal proceedings on a regular basis.
