Michael Levenstein listed in The Lawyer’s Hot 100 List for 2026

Gatehouse Chambers is delighted to announce that Michael Levenstein has been recognised in The Lawyer’s prestigious Hot 100 list for 2026.
Michael is a specialist construction and commercial practitioner whose cases typically involve complex property damage, professional negligence and insurance-related issues.
He is ranked in Legal 500 as a leading junior and described as having an ‘astonishing attention to detail’, ‘excellent with clients’ and a ‘combination of razor-sharp wit and laser-like focus…an easy choice when looking for a junior who can handle large and complex matters’.
He has acted in numerous notable TCC cases with a recent emphasis on the Building Safety Act 2022, securing the first (and to date, only) Building Liability Order and Information Orders under that legislation.
Michael serves on the Executive Committee of TECBAR (as co-editor of the TECBAR Law Review) and regularly acts as an Adjudicator and Mediator.
He was elected to the Council of the Society of Construction Law in 2023, on which he chairs the annual Hudson Prize competition.
In 2024, Michael was appointed to the Attorney General’s Counsel to the Crown and regularly acts on behalf of the Government in ultra-high-value and framework disputes.
He also sits on the Consulting Editorial Board for LexisNexis Construction Law and is a contributor or editor to numerous other construction texts.
In addition to his practice, Michael is a Visiting Lecturer at the Bartlett School of Construction, University College London.
We extend our warm congratulations to Michael and to all those featured in The Lawyer’s Hot 100.
