Linda has had a very varied career including working on the Post Office counter, being a 999/100 operator and a school finance officer. The skills that she gathered in those and other roles have led her here and she is very happy to be part of the Gatehouse Chambers family. She joined in 2010 as PA to the former Chief Executive and has supported Amanda Illing since she took up the role in 2012. She supports the Heads of Chambers and the Chambers Management Committee, for whom she acts as secretary.
Linda’s duties are interesting and challenging and her role has varied, from being the day to day liaison with the builders, during the 2012 building project, to arranging a retirement dinner for 160 people. She also has the responsibility for making travel arrangements for business development visits both domestic and overseas and is responsible for HR administration. Linda enjoys the challenge of no two days being the same.
In her personal time Linda loves to dance and if she can’t dance, she loves to watch brilliant dancers, everything from classical ballet to hip hop with some ballroom in between. She also loves art and visiting galleries; the Tate Modern and the National Portrait Gallery are particular favourites. She loves London and considers herself very lucky to be able to access all types of culture so easily.
