Practice overview
Andrew Jones joined Gatehouse Chambers as a pupil in October 2025.
Andrew obtained a first class degree in PPE at the University of Warwick and an MPhil in International Development from Clare Hall College, Cambridge.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Andrew worked as a Caseworker at Advocate with responsibilities for commercial, chancery, and property areas of law, supporting applicants to find assistance from volunteer barristers.
Andrew qualified as a chartered accountant completing the ICAEW’s ACA qualification. Andrew worked as an auditor assisting on a range of audits for private and listed UK companies particularly across the real estate, construction, and financial services sectors.
Andrew achieved distinctions in both his Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP and Bar Training Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy, supported by an Exhibition and the Clothier Scholarship from Inner Temple. Andrew obtained prizes during his Bar Course for his performance in the civil litigation and conference exams. During his GDL, Andrew won the BPP Advocate of the Year competition.
CSR
Andrew previously volunteered at Advocate as a Gateway Volunteer and at the BPP Enterprise Clinic as a Student Adviser.
