Sam Karim KC appointed Deputy High Court Judge

Gatehouse Chambers is delighted to share the news that Sam Karim KC has been appointed as a Deputy High Court Judge, effective 1 September 2025.

This appointment follows an open competition run by the Judicial Appointments Commission. The role of Deputy High Court Judge is a part time judicial role reserved for those who have the experience and expertise to deal with very complex cases and will include work which would otherwise be undertaken by High Court Judges. Sam has been assigned to the Family Division.

This is a wonderful achievement for Sam, and we are immensely proud to share and support this career milestone.  Sam will combine his judicial commitments whilst continuing to practise in his legal areas of expertise, most notably in the area of international arbitration, where he acts as counsel or sits as a panel or sole arbitrator.
